The sheer amount of junk I carry around with me on a daily basis is BONKERS. The combined weight of things I’ve decided are so ‘essential’ to everyday life that I’ll risk serious shoulder injury, by lugging them around from point A to point B in my bag every single day, is just not sensible.

Every so often I’ll have a good clear out of course. By which I mean I’ll take it all out, sigh a bit, throw away a few receipts and the odd button and essentially put everything else back in again. I figured it’s been quite some time since I last did a What’s in my Bag so here’s another, updated one. For the previous post, waaaaay back in 2012, see here. Warning: It’s OLD news.

Back in March last year I finally retired the Prada and replaced it with this MK one as my ‘everyday bag’. Sure, I have smaller bags for shopping and whatnot (my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Moto Mac is the perfect size for a day out wandering the city) but this is my bigger bag for grabbing on the way out of the door when I’m not sure what I’ll need with me. A girl’s got to be ready for anything.
You may remember I’d had my eye on this, the large Michael Kors Selma Saffiano Tote, for quite a while. Now for the first time in my life I have a matching bag and purse combo. Aged 27 and I’m finally a lady.

Inside I am keeping a veritable paradise of useless useful items. Some highlights include:

Car keys.
Assorted business cards and metro tickets.
A case full of my business cards (You know you want one).
Toothfloss and a little box of minty toothpicks. Dental hygiene is crucial.
Loose change, Panadol and gum. Standard.
Caudalie lip balm and a travel tube of Papaw, Caudalie Beauty Elixir, 4head, L’Occitane Cherry Blossom hand cream and Dr Bronner’s hand sanitizer in lavender.
A Juice iPhone cable. There’s usually a little black Juice Cube in here too but it seems to be MIA.
My Michael Kors saffiano Jetset purse (as previously discussed).
‘People I Want To Punch In The Face’ notebook.
Travalo (still) filled with CK Euphoria.
Little pouch I use to keep some of the smaller items in. It was free on an Etihad flight a few years ago but I quite liked the pattern.
Lulu Guiness umberella.
Prada sunnies. SHOULD be in a case. No idea where that is.
A lolly. For emergencies.
