Right you beautiful lot, that’s Christmas over with for another whole year. Hope you had a good one and all that. Now let’s go back to a time before Christmas and chat our way through a few product reviews, starting with a familiar brand; Soap & Glory.

When I heard a few weeks ago that Boots, and Soap & Glory, were bringing out their “better than half price” offer again this year I did what any self respecting ‘blogger’ would do and sent my poor boyfriend out to buy me one before the stock ran dry. For a mere £27, and a short time only, you could snap up a Yule Monty gift set, featuring 9 full sized products, worth over £70, although the gift set is normally priced at £60. Once the stock runs out (which doesn’t tend to take particularly long) the set goes back up to £60 and is available to buy normally after the initial offer.
Even at full cost it’s a treat worth absolutely every penny.20131227-101200 pm.jpg

The set contained Hand Food, The Scrub of Your Life, Thick & Fast Super Volume mascara, Sexy Mother Pucker Extreme Plump lip gloss, The Righteous Butter, Heel Genius, Butter Yourself Moisture Lotion, Sugar Crush body wash and the  Peaches and Clean 3-in-1 cleanser, all in a limited edition huge Jonathan Saunders carry case.

On first impression (after sniffing each product and applying a little bit of it all to various parts of my person) I loved everything. Now, having used it all for a couple of weeks, I am even more in love. My personal highlights being the Peaches and Clean cleanser, which smells delicious and leaves my face über soft, the unbelievably tasty scent of the Sugar Crush wash (think divine mojitos, all sweet brown sugar and lime, and you’re not far off) and rediscovering a love for the sickeningly wonderful The Righteous Butter, which was an old favourite of mine so I kind of already knew I had a soft spot for that. The mascara is pretty nifty too. It does come with the most intimidatingly enormous wand but once you get over the idea of poking that monstrosity around near your only pair of eyes, it’s actually a very good product.

The gift set is impossibly good value and, all being well, I’ll have used up this little lot and will be in line to buy the gift set on offer next year. Who doesn’t love a good bargain?!
