The Little Black Dress is one fashion must-have that will never go out of style.
It’s rare to find an occasion that this classic wardrobe staple isn’t suitable for.
I’m not the bravest when it comes to wearing bold colours so I know I rely on my collection of little black dresses quite often. They’ve not failed me yet.
Let’s face it, men like them, women like them, you can wear an LBD for drinks, dinner, work, weddings, funerals, interviews, Ladies’ Day, all sorts of events.
You can dress it up for a soiree with jewellery and stilettos, or you can dress it down for lunch or a day at the office. They look just as great with a tan and sandals as they do if you’re pale and mysterious and covering up with thick black tights.
It’s rarely inappropriate to show up in a simple black dress
As seasons change you might find the classic shapes undergo a bit of a makeover now and then, and we’ll see an asymmetric hemline appear here or a tulip skirt there, but the end result is often the same.
You can’t really go wrong wearing your faithful slinky black number.
To celebrate that, below is a collection of some of the more gorgeous Little Black Dresses that I’ve spotted around Net-A-Porter, The Outnet and Cocosa of late.
Just incase you need to add another one to your wardrobe. Any excuse hey..?
